What is Legacy Dog Portraits?
Legacy Dog Portraits creates fine-art studio portraits designed to preserve your dog’s personality, expression, and legacy in timeless artwork.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions take place in my private Roswell studio. Exact studio address, parking information, and preparation details are sent in your booking confirmation email.
How long is a session?
Your portrait session lasts approximately 30 minutes. A full hour is reserved for your appointment, allowing time for arrival, settling in, and a relaxed experience.
When are sessions available?
Sessions are available Wednesday through Sunday at 10:00 AM, 11:30 AM, 1:00 PM, and 2:30 PM.
What is included with my session?
Sessions are $250 and include one dog, 10 professionally retouched high-resolution digital images with clean, natural backgrounds, and one Signature Backdrop portrait on your choice of Legacy Navy or Legacy Gold.
Can I include another dog or a person in the portraits?
Yes. Additional dogs or people may be added for $150 per additional subject. Please add the appropriate number of add-ons when booking so I can plan the session accordingly.
What happens after I book?
After booking, you’ll complete a brief questionnaire about your dog, including their name, breed, age, gender, and any details or questions you would like to share before the session.
What happens after the session?
Within 24 hours, you’ll receive a private online gallery containing the best images from your session. Please select your 10 favorites within 14 days. Your gallery remains available for 30 days.
When will I receive my finished images?
Your 10 professionally retouched images and Signature Backdrop portrait will be delivered as high-resolution digital downloads in your private Pixieset gallery within 7 days after you submit your selections.
Can I order more Signature Backdrop portraits?
Yes. Additional Signature Backdrop portraits are available for $75 each. An alternate Legacy Navy or Legacy Gold version of the same portrait is available for $40.
Can I order prints and artwork?
Yes. Once your final images are ready, you can order professional-quality prints and artwork directly through your private Pixieset gallery.
What should I bring?
Please bring your dog on a leash, along with favorite treats, a toy or squeaker, water, and anything that helps them feel comfortable.
Does my dog need to know commands or sit perfectly still?
No. Basic commands can help, but they are not required. Sessions are calm, patient, and paced around your dog’s comfort. We will work with their personality, movement, and natural expressions.
Can you photograph senior, anxious, or reactive dogs?
Senior dogs and dogs who need extra patience are always welcome. Please share any mobility, health, hearing, vision, anxiety, fear, or reactivity concerns in your questionnaire before booking so we can plan the safest, most comfortable session possible.
What if my dog needs to stay on leash?
That is completely fine—safety comes first. When appropriate, leashes can often be removed from final images during retouching.
Should my dog be groomed before the session?
A fresh grooming or bath is welcome if it fits your dog’s normal routine, but your dog should still look like themselves. The goal is a polished portrait that preserves their real character.
Will you retouch my dog’s portraits?
Yes. Selected images are professionally retouched for lighting, color, detail, and overall finish. Temporary distractions may be cleaned up when appropriate, while the permanent features that make your dog unique are preserved.
Can I share my images on social media?
Yes. You may share your delivered digital images online for personal use. Please do not apply filters, crop, or alter the final artwork.
Is payment required to book?
Yes. Full payment is required to reserve your appointment and is non-refundable.
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
With at least 24 hours’ notice, your payment may be transferred one time to a new appointment, subject to availability. Late cancellations and no-shows forfeit the session fee.
